HarshPandit: development has now switched to v2.4-dev with planned release in July, which means the internal draft is planned to be provided in June to give sufficient time for feedback and review. v2.4 will be a large release, with potentially many extensions switching from draft to stable

JulianFlake: We are meeting for GDNG on Monday, and we want to schedule a milestone for GDNG for v2.4
BeatrizEsteves: we are looking with Gabriela and Marlin on a mapping between EHDS and DPV's coverage to see gaps, and also looking at policies for secondary use. We hope to get to a good state by the time 2.4 is due.
HarshPandit: We should do a session to have clarity on what is a class, instance, taxonomy, etc.
BeatrizEsteves: We didn't look at this specifically in DPV, don't see any immediate problems about this but we should look at the parents e.g. SECTOR-HEALTH has a hierarchy which is good but the EHDS concept is not aligned with this. So we should have this hieararchy for 2.4

BeatrizEsteves: This issue of classes vs instances would be more prominent in OWL, shouldn't that severe an issue with SKOS and RDF
JulianFlake: Yes, agree, we should have this session. Having two hierarchies called parent term and parent type can create issues with interpretation.

BeatrizEsteves: last week there was not much discussion except for expression of interest; we know HealthDCAT-AP are using the `hasPurpose`property ; there are papers in the issue from NXDG workshop last year
BeatrizEsteves: We did not discuss specifically what we want to get out of it, maybe some kind of guide on how to use DPV terms in HealthDCAT-AP catalogues
BeatrizEsteves: Also from the workshop, the main person driving the HealthDCAT-AP spec was presenting the paper, its now out of their hands and is being managed by some other department. So not sure how much can be asked to be changed. Or if just publishing a guide (DPVCG) would be enough.
ChristianDraeger: Mathias was also interested, but he is on holidays at the moment
HarshPandit: our goal is to improve examples, ask to use our taxonomy, give a guide on healthdcat-ap + DPV

AI model openness

HarshPandit: Q: Do we model these as statuses since this can change over time? E.g. release more information makes the model open, rather than a subclass which implies this is fixed
DelaramGolpayegani: Yes, makes sense, separate concepts help track; will have a look at the concept. AI extension is suitable.
DelaramGolpayegani: Also whether a separate GenAI extension is needed for specific concepts on GenAI if these increase in size and scope
MarkLizar: We should also look at providence (provenance?) of the data involved in the model, e.g. did the data come from scraping

AI Documentation

FabianLinde: Analysing the AI Act for documentation requirements (currently at around 280) and then looking at approaches like Data Sheets, Model Cards, ISO 42001, to see if you already have these documentation then how much of the AI Act you already have the information for. Also looking at DPV and MLDCAT-AP and what are gaps, and then how to fill in the gaps through proposed concepts.
BeatrizEsteves: does this include looking at policies on how AI should be used?
FabianLinde: Yes, you have to document acceptable use policies, which is an item you have to tick the box for to complete the documentation
DelaramGolpayegani: I think Dave also have a Masters student who is looking at this with the plan to propose concepts into DPV

DelaramGolpayegani: Looking at the AI Act, the scope is relevant, for AIUP we only looked at Provider and Deployer. E.g. for procurement.
HarshPandit: Agree, for ODRL suggest only keeping Training as Action and then having a separate profile that goes into depth for specific use-cases / perspectives
DelaramGolpayegani: Can the action be defined in DPV?
BeatrizEsteves: Yes, we can tell them use the DPV profile (as and when created), but there will be people who want to use only/pure ODRL. So when they have the action there that allows them using the ODRL purpose and the DPV taxonomy. So ODRL want this action in the (main) ODRL vocab.
MLDCAT-AP

HarshPandit: MLDCAT-AP sync point, relevance to DPAs, so we have a timeline that we need to work around as this work has specific audience and we should aim to submit this to them as our outputs
DelaramGolpayegani: Dave's student is also looking at MLDCAT-AP. There is no compliance or mapping between this and the AI Act.
Improving DPV documentation

HarshPandit: Art has proposed an automatic system for checking whether each concept has a direct or indirect example which will help improve the documentation.

Muhsin and Fatima attending after invitation by Delaram, creators of a file format specification for AI, want to present in the AOB section
MuhsinHameed: (wuth Fatima) we looked at the AI Act and AI-generated content for writing. We have a process log in JSON. Now we are looking at DPV mapping that we can use. We look at whether content was partially or fully generated by AI, and then whether it was edited by a human. We didn't see anything in DPV for this.
HarshPandit: To clarify, this means you are looking for concepts to represent content generated by AI (fully or partially) and then content edited by human (after generation by AI)?
MuhsinHameed: Yes, that is correct
HarshPandit: suggest to create an extension with these two requirements for concepts and then we can discuss it there and identify concepts to recommend here
