harsh: happening October in Dublin, should DPVCG have a session? We have to inform W3C w3c/

Harsh: EHDS work still ongoing, not ready for 2.4 release as informed by Beatriz
Julian: Same for GDNG, because the German govt. has modified the law to align it with EHDS, we have data access bodies being set up, the existing data co-ordination office will [probably] be closed [JF: not established]; The new law is not enacted/in-force yet, and it is also not published [/finalized]. It is still being discussed in the parliament. The old GDNG (which was analysed for DPV) will be obsolete.
Harsh: Will the GDNG extension be obsolete? Is a new extension?
Julian: There will be an omnibus law with a different acronym [GeDIG], and the new GDNG will have different articles etc. So it is not worth publishing something that will be absolete soon
Julian: IRIs will change e.g. the IRI for legal basis consent will change
Harsh: same questions also arise for the omnibus e.g. GDPR and AI Act also have changes and its expected we update the concepts ; that is okay as these laws are in effect but up to GDNG group to decide how they want to do this
Julian: better to wait and work on the new law ; we are meeting in 2 weeks ; the civil society is invited to comment on the new law so it is work in progress

ans: yes, and we go for v2.5 next as per schedule

Georg: eIDAS regulation for wallets, which also need consent
Harsh: high-risk guidelines on ai act, use of AI by public bodies;; age verification of different kinds with some using AI to infer age -- can DPV provide a taxonomy showing how these work
Georg: also relevant is how consent works in these contexts, what should be the information
